Ayu Maharani has dedicated over a decade to crafting thoughtful architectural and interior design solutions that honor both place and purpose. Starting from her roots in Indonesia, her work has grown to include landmark projects across Asia, Europe, and the GCC. Her portfolio spans an wide range of typologies, from intimate residential sanctuaries and sacred chapel spaces to museums and cultural institutions, luxury hospitality, healthcare facilities, and government and transit infrastructure.
Working both as an independent designer and as a creative collaborator for international studios, Ayu brings a distinctive sensitivity to every scale of project. She has led concept development on landmark commissions across the GCC, Europe, and Asia, including a confidential cultural institution in Saudi Arabia, 5-star hotel properties across the GCC, a government transit authority program in the UAE, and private resort and boutique hotel projects across Sardinia, Italy and Paris, France. Throughout her work, she consistently weaves cultural context, spatial flow, material authenticity, natural light, and the rituals of daily life into each design, whether it's a master planned public space, a private home, or a wedding chapel adorned in flowers.
